Pequeño catálogo de palabras coreanas (2020)

Little catalog of Korean words (2020)

[*"Little Catalog of Korean Words" arises from the confluence of two interests: Korean language and how it’s possible to think about catalog as a way of naming the world —or a world—. Just as in the beginning God gave the power - to humans - to name the world around, language is a huge catalog of the known and unknown world. It could give us an idea of how we can depict it.

Un paso adelante, dos para atrás (2016)

One step forward, two steps back (2016)

[*Through film montage, this is a reflection about the way Colombian history advance in time: when every seems to go forward and advance or improve, something is missing due to the social gaps. So, in reality, for one step Colombia moves forward it goes back two.

Waveporn (2014)

[This *is a selection of pornographic videos encoded by using a tool that some editing programs such as Premiere or Final Cut have: WY waveforms. It works assigning a value to every single pixel called “IRE” or “Minivolt” which is depicted in a 3D scatter plot. The original image is “the floor” (axes x and y) and in the height (axis z) every single pixel reach its “IRE” value. The result is a waveform with the movement that the original image has. Those waveforms were showed on Chatroulette as an intervention on this platform.

El engaño (2013)

The deceit (2013)

[*Short reflection about measurement units and their poetry when they measure things which they were not created for: “how much a pixel weights? - 155 cm” . Also is a reflection about AI and our relationship with them. From this work comes another project: a Twitter bot called “bot de medidas” which you can find in this link: ‣
